I’ve just put out a new video on IK Multimedia’s UNO Synth. This video features a sample of every single preset. 47 minutes in total. Enjoy!
I’ve just released a new LumaFusion tutorial which you can view above. This video shows you how to create your own handwritten titles and drawings and overlay them on video inside the LumaFusion app for iPad and iPhone. Make sure you subscribe to my YouTube channel to get the latest tutorials for LumaFusion.
A couple of years ago I made a bunch of videos about learning Music Theory. I made 6 in total and intend to make another 7 over the summer. I’m gradually reposting these to YouTube. Here’s the first lesson on Tones and Semitones.
This week I’ve been creating and uploading 4K video. I say video… I, like many other people don’t yet own a device capable of recording 4K video so that is a little misleading. No, what I’m actually creating are photo slideshows in 4K.
A decent DSLR can take images with enough megapixels to cover the 3840×2160 dimensions found in this new Ultra-High Definition video format. Unfortunately, Aperture for Mac has very poor support for 4K video exports so I’ve resorted to Final Cut Pro instead. My poor MacBook Pro loses about 60GB of space every time I create a 2-3 minute video in 4K. When exporting, the fans go into overdrive and my work-horse laptop suddenly finds out what hard work really is.
The first music video from the album ‘Minds Collide’ is now online! Check out the video for ‘Tectonic Rainbows’.
This track will be released tomorrow for free and will also include a previously unreleased track! Check back online tomorrow to get your download!
As you may have heard from the last Episode of the Matt Keil Podcast, my band Le Monnier found ourselves in a dispute with Sony Music over rights to a song we uploaded to YouTube.
We think Sony may have been making money out of our music by falsely claiming one of our songs as their own. Are they doing this to other bands? We hope not. After Sony finally removed their claim to one of our videos, I posted this blog video on the band’s YouTube channel.
In 2006 I first created an Art film entitled ‘Kurfürstendamm Nuclear Bunker’ which contained footage from a bunker in Berlin, Germany when I went there one summer. The soundtrack for this is a series on manipulated sounds and historical recordings. Recently I remastered the video and uploaded a much better quality version, so here it is.
This isn’t music related but quite important. The video below explains everything you need to know. Any advice would be greatly appreciated too. P.S. Audrey is a plant 😉
Just wanted to share this music video of my band Le Monnier. We filmed this back in February in Bristol in a disused hotel. It was quite fun although what I remember most is being cooked by a 1000-watt lighting rig…
